The Conservative Caucus represents the belief that “politics is the art of the possible,” as good public policy is the result of prudent statesmanship and attention to the lessons of history. The Caucus asserts the existence and vitality of an enduring moral order, the inherent connection of freedom and property to individual and community success, and the need to reconcile the permanent and the changeable in a productive society. Above all, our purpose is to help identify meaning and purpose in today's policy debates, overcoming the trappings of ideology to procure a holistic understanding of civil society.
